Scammers have phone numbers too and talking on the phone is how they make you feel safe in sending them money. It is not a way to insure someone is legit. I do not ask for any money up front. I require no money before you see the pup, hold the pup and know it’s legit. Show me any scammer that will do that; would invite you to their home or meet you to see the puppy before taking your money.
A safer way for you to verify me is to do some research. Do the legwork yourself. Don’t just rely on me, “a suspected scammer” or any other breeder to spoon feed you info to make you feel safe. I can feed you whatever you want to hear but that doesn’t make me legit.
My name is Jennifer Able-Jones, sometimes going by just Jones
My kennel name is J Bar Papillons
Look under New Mexico here:
https://papillonclub.org/breeders-2021/ you’ll find me there but you can also find other breeders and you can ask them if they’ve heard of me. Most of them know me but some done, so ask a few different breeders.
Google (with quotes) “j bar papillons” and count the hits
Google “papillons in New Mexico” and count the hits. “Papillon puppies in New Mexico” etc
Google “Anabelle Beautiful papillon” and count the hits. She is my top winning papillon, she is all over the internet. The top winning female in the entire country for 2020 and the 2nd highest winning female for 2021. We are being honored at our national specialty in 2022 for the second year in a row. I’m not hard to verify.
Take any dog name off my website and using quotes, google them.
Google and call AKC and ask them about me. (Find the phone number yourself so you can feel safe that I didn’t give you the number to a buddy who could be playing along in a scam.
Google Cielo Grande Animal Clinic in Roswell New Mexico and call them and ask about me (if I just give you the number, again, it could be a buddy posing as the clinic so it’s safer to do the leg work yourself). Ask them anything you want about me.
Google Artesia Animal Clinic in Artesia NM and ask if they have records of me as a client and ask them whatever you want about me.
Search for me on Facebook.
I don’t take deposits. When I offer you a puppy, you must meet and interact with him before I’ll sell him to you. Just pay in cash and take the pup home the same day. I don’t sell puppies before they are old enough for new homes.
Additionally, it is against the law through the Animal Welfare Act to sell puppies “sight unseen” without a Commercial Breeder’s License or at least one of 4 exemptions. I qualify for 3 of those 4 exemptions but I still abide by it. The law requires buyers to “meet, observe and interact with the puppy in person, with breeder, buyer and puppy at the same location and at the same time” before they buy it. It is a law that can only be enforced when a breeders is reported, but if all breeders and buyers would follow this law, nobody would be scammed.

Either come or don’t, I don’t chase buyers. I’m not twisting your arm and I’m not asking, encouraging or insisting you send me any money, so how would I be able to scam you out of it?
And the same goes for any other breeder. Do your due diligence, research, verify and protect yourself. Don’t send money to strangers you meet on the internet. Any cop, judge or banker will tell you that!
