Welcome to the website of J Bar Papillons, in Roswell New Mexico, where I strive to produce healthy Papillons that are sound in structure and in temperament with all the frills and elegance that make the Papillon breed what it is. I am passionate about quality and strive to meet the breed standard in producing show quality puppies. I do not breed for pet quality dogs, however I cannot keep them all, therefore, most of my show quality puppies are placed in companion homes. Show breeders produce our own show dogs, so there is no market for show puppies and therefore 99% of all our puppies go to pet homes, even when they are show quality.
I am a member of the PCA (Papillon Club of America – http://papillonclub.org), Rio Pecos Kennel Club and a participant in the AKC Breeder of Merit Program where I have achieved the “Silver” level of participation (pending approval). If you would like to catch up with me and watch my dogs in action, I try very hard to participate in the annual kennel club shows in NM (Hobbs, Albuquerque, Las Cruses, Albuquerque, Roswell and T or C), Colorado (Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Durango) and in Tx (Midland, Abilene, Amarillo, Big Spring). When time permits, I do try to travel to the further shows in Longmont, Colorado Springs, Aurora Co, Dallas/Ft Worth, San Antonio and Glen Rose Tsx, and Flagstaff when I can but now that my boys have grown up and joined the Army, traveling is not as easy or fun.
